CITIZEN has always tried to be innovative.
We have the same attitude with regard to materials. In 1970, we presented the world’s first watch made of solid titanium, a material that is light, antiallergic and corrosion-resistant. Duratect, CITIZEN’s proprietary surface hardening technology, has enabled the solid titanium to be further developed into Super Titanium.

Super Titanium is 5 times harder than stainless steel and offers even better wearing comfort for Titanium watches. This material expresses CITIZEN’s efforts to optimize for even better use in people’s daily lives.
